Designing wedding cakes is my dream; creating beautiful edible artwork, and making people happy speaks to my soul. I have been in the cake making business for twelve years as a home-based business owner, to an owner of a retail bakery and back again to a home-based business, making many different types of baked goods and custom designed cakes, finally evolving into a wedding cake business where my heart truly is.

When entering into the wedding cake business, I did not want to make the same ole, same ole cakes that other bakers were making. I wanted to stand out and make unique cakes. The problem was, no one wanted them. Couples were continually requesting buttercream rosette cakes, simple swirls, Pinterest copycats and oh those tacky naked cakes. I'll tell you a secret about me; I loathe naked cakes and will never make them again.

Anyway, it took lots of hard work to getting to where I am in the wedding cake world. Meeting vendors and venue managers, collaborating in styled shoots, getting my cakes published in magazines. By doing all of this hard work, I am now attracting the wedding clients that I want to work with, making the artistic style cakes that I love.
